1 Jun 2008 - Golden oriole continued

The plot thickens. Steve from the Malvern Hills Birding Group says that last week an escaped Black-naped Oriole was reported from one of the Hebridean Islands. The species is mainly resident in SE Asia so would "not be a vagrant". This spieces is more similar to GO and may, if this bird looks like an oriole, having been fed artificially in captivity might attempt to get on a feeder when 'on the loose'.
